I couldn’t wait for Spring

new release porcelain earrings

These new pieces have been a joy to make and remind me that Spring is almost here in the southern hemisphere. They are handmade with Lumina porcelain with a soft pastel wash to bring out the mandala style designs.  Of course, I have been taking them for a test run and they are light to wear and will set off your new Spring outfit. I hope you like them as much as I do.

The teapot in the top right image I am hoping to enter into the major prize award, The $7000 Siliceous Award for Ceramic Excellence with Ceramic Arts Queensland.

You can tell I love detail and the Steampunk style allows me to be completely over-the-top and get away with it!

Watch this space for the finished works.

Winter at the studio

We are all rugged up on Tamborine Mountain, wood smoke fills the evening air but it’s been snug and cosy at the PJ Pottery Studio and my wonderful enthusiastic students have just finished term 2 classes. I am so proud of their progress and some magic pots have been created over the last 10 weeks. Check out these amazing works including some marvellous monsters from a children’s pottery workshop I conducted in April with Scenic Rim Regional Council

Don’t forget my WINTER SALE of handmade jewellery ends last day of June – HAPPY SHOPPING!

handmade jewellery: shop update

Back in the warmth of January I ran a ceramic jewellery workshop and revelled in watching my students get excited about their creations. So now we are in May and I have at last finished and photographed my own handmade porcelain earrings and handmade glass bead necklaces.

Some of these have been embellished with small porcelain trinkets making them pop. And to celebrate, all of these new pieces are on sale until the end of June. I hope you find one or two you like here.
