pure porcelain

niccipj_bird bowls_2018The clay used for these vessels is called Lumina from Keanes, it has the ability to be translucent when built with thin walls and fired to 1300 degrees Celcius.  It is a lovely experience to hold these vessels and feel their delicate weight and see the shadow of your hands through the walls of the clay.

There are only a few weeks left to view these pieces for sale and on display at the Untethered exhibition at the Butter Factory Art Centre, Cooroy. Come along and enjoy this showing of over 20 artists’ work from the Sunshine Coast hinterland, and support local art!
